Kindergarten Camps

KINDERGARTEN CAMPS WILL NOT BE RUNNING SUMMER '23

A gentle first camp experience for 4-5 year olds who might find large camp settings overwhelming. These nature kindergarten camps are for small groups of six children. Led by Jennie in an enclosed garden setting, all activities will be held outdoors including nature-based games, storytelling, puppetry, bushcraft, mud-kitchen play, and arts and crafts. Crafts will involve the use of natural and environmentally-friendly materials.

Activities will be carefully selected and tailored to meet the specific needs of each group to ensure children have a supportive and enriching experience.  Developmentally appropriate play is at the heart of this programme, enhanced by Jennie's training as both a forest-school leader and play therapist.

Like all of our nature-based play programmes we will be outside all of the time, even in the rain and we only cancel in high winds. Please see FAQs for more information on suitable clothing etc. Children should bring a packed lunch and water.

Unlike many camps which involve a quick drop-and-go system which can be upsetting for younger children, these nature kindergarten camps support parents if they want to stay a while to help their children settle. Equally children will be well supported if parents prefer to drop and go.
